about

Hi there! I'm Dana, a former teacher turned education technology coach who can't get enough of this beautiful world. I grew up taking amazing vacations to our nation's national parks., and I am forever grateful for the types of experiences my parents gifted me through travel. I started my adult travel adventures in my early 20s when my sister and I took a trip to Arches National Park as a spur of the moment escape from some personal challenges. It was on this trip I discovered that travel was more than fun. It could be cathartic, challenging (in the best ways), mind opening, and one of the best ways to replenish your soul.
After taking a few years to get my career and finances in order and spend some time figuring out what made me tick (no I didn't get to take an Eat Pray Love type of trip to do this--I wish!), I realized that going places was what kept me going. I have other hobbies, but researching new places and planning/taking trips has become my favorite. Most of my goals center around creating a type of life where I have the opportunity to explore at home and abroad. I Did It My Way is meant to encourage you to take a trip Your Way. Take a look at my itineraries for ideas and inspiration, and start building the trip(s) of your dreams!

Inspired, but overwhelmed? Here's how I can help.

Blog Posts

Many of  my posts include my personal itineraries. I identify the ambiance of each trip and then walk you through each day  to discover all the things to eat, see, and do. Take ideas from my personal itinerary and do it your way!

Looking for someone to take the leg work  out of the planning process so you can focus on pre-trip excitement? I can provide you a detailed itinerary specified to your travel tastes including cultural and logistical information to support your  trip.

Coaching Calls

Do you wish you had someone to show your itinerary to or someone to bounce ideas off of for how you want to organize your trip. A 30 minute coaching call may be just the thing to soothe your nerves and maybe even give you ideas for your trip you hadn’t considered!
